Youth whitetail success

Decided to take my son into a vehicle restricted area today to look for a buck for him,we walked in a couple miles and seen two smaller fork bucks but not what he was after. Once we got to a large field we decided we would cross and try rattling in the timber . About fifty yards into the field I spotted a buck coming out of the timber where we were planning on going, we were in the wide open I figured we were done for sure but the back had not notice us. With nothing to rest on I layed flat on my stomach and my son rested on my pack I was still wearing! Not an ideal situation but he managed to make a great shot . This is his best whitetail to date couldn't wipe the smile off his face. He field dressed it and did the lions share of pushing the deer cart out .im proud of his effort on this buck!

Congrats nice buck. Nice to see you get a WT buck in region 3. I was told that there are no WT in region 3. I laughed and said I've seen lots of WT does just never a buck. Also love the picture of your son pushing the game cart.
