What's everyone using for gaiters? Looking at the outdoor research crocodile gaiters, any suggestions?

OR expedition crocs for me. Loud but as durable as anything gets.

That, and here's nothing better than posting photos of you with your hunting success wearing blood covered MEC equipment.

I use kenetrek ones. They aren't too noisy and work well but have only used these so there could be better ones out there

I use Kenetrack and they are the quietest gators I have used. Going on 5 years with them and they are starting to wear. Might get one more season and will buy them again.

Had MEC and they are loud...no go for hunting IMO.

X2 best set I've owned and seen friends try others and they haven't been happy, can't go wrong with their warranty and quality

Why all the excitement about noisy versus quiet gaiters? I usually only wear them sheep hunting and no part of my clothing has ever been the noisiest thing. Just go slow and careful.

I use the Outdoor Research croc ones on Meindel Alaskans. They're great.

Same here and I walk through a lot of thorn bushes. No tears in 5 years and still going strong. I'll definitely buy another pair when these kick it in.

Mtn hunting for sheep and goats one can probably get away with noisier gators... Likely going to have longer shots. I wear Kenetrack gaiters mostly for timber hunting where being quiet is essential.

I use some MEC ones. Work plenty fine for me.

Outdoor Research crocs for me, They are pretty decent but my set haven't shown me too much durability, and I'm not hard on gear. Quite noisy too which ain't good for my timber hunting. Might try Kenetrek.

Sitka's Storm front gaiters worked good for me, a little pricey, dry fast, are water tight and they are built to last!

Kenetrek for me, going on 8 years with no problems.

I wear mine as soon as it is wet out and continue to wear them until the end of the season. They keep out the wet, the leaves, dirt and snow and save wear and tear on my lower pant legs.

Cheers

I bought some Core4Element from Camofire for $25 and they are quiet and seem to be well built. Definitely worth the money I paid so far.

Outdoor Research - Crocs. Worth the $95. I have used the Outdoor Research - Rocky Mountain ($45), wore them out over 2 years (year round use, over 300 field days), they were good too, but the Crocs fit great, different boots, and seem more water proof and tougher.

I checked out the MEC brand, they are not designed as well as tge Outdoor Research, and foresaw issues with them

I wore out my kenetrek gaiters and broke a pair of OR first trip. Now I'm trying a pair of hillsound armadillos light fluid fit great hook into the laces breathable and are waterproof. So far been holding up great!

I use Kenetreks.

They are quiet and really well made.

Warm and dry is where it's at!

I am running Kuiu gaiters. I have had them for 3 months. They are a little loud, and the velcro "crinkles" when you walk. ie; makes noise. Not a lot, but enough to annoy me. Then to boot, I punched a hole through the side of them last week on a broken off branch protruding from a log on the ground. I will continue to use them until they break, but I don't think I will replace them with a new pair. I will grab something a little easier to access such as the Kenetreks.

I use the ones Canada Post gave my ol' lady. They were too big for her by a lot but fit me and are great quality.

Is there a store in BC that sells the Kenetrek?
