Lol if it was rocksteady I would be on a fly in somewhere not posting on hbc. It is however a toad of a mulie that now resides in my freezer. I worked it out and its 3 meals a month of deer for the next 9 months. with my bear added in should get me through till next hunting season but only by the skin of my teeth. In reality though the butcher did make the packages fairly large so probably make atleast a dinner and lunch per. Which is pretty sweet concidering that previous to this so far Ive split a doe and taken about 6 grouse and 2 rabbits half a bear and half a decent sized deer .. If I get my reg 2 buck its on I will be done for the season. The weekend will tell.

Good luck on your other tag.

He did 6 roasts some stew and alot of burger. Not the most exciting things ever was hoping for more stew and the packages are honestly better for 6 people than 3 but Inwas headed back to work the next day and he had room. A friend helped me clean my trnderloin up adding a package of stew and I cut the backstrap up made 8 packs of 4 steaks. Hows your season going surrey boy? Thanks for the good wishes but unless someone tied a blacktail to a stump its gonna be alot of hiking.

I tagged out, two does and a spike buck in two backyards in the RDN with a crossbow. Eight rabbits so far.

Whats the RDN?

Regional District of Nanaimo. Like a rural municipality.

Governments figured out people don't like them, so they imposed themselves on people who live outside city limits. Ever notice that the nicest houses are just outside city limits? They noticed and got jealous.

Hunting isn't banned in the RDN like it is in Parksville proper. Knowing the actual boundaries has opened up many opportunities for me.

Sorry for the hijack, 604Stalker. Thanks for posting.
