So I'm planning a hunt with my sons starting in one MU that is any buck and then going to a MU that is 4 point. If I harvest a 2 point in the first MU and then go into the second MU with it will I run into trouble?

If your tag's cut (and I'd probably GPS waypoint the navigation and take a pic on your iphone with the GPS coordinates on it - no disputing that!), you should be fine. We hop between MUs all of the time...just how it is.

Thanks AGSilver. I had thought of that as a solution but wasn't sure if it would be enough proof.

Do what you want , just be ready to prove your case. If it is something that will draw suspicion, be ready for some inconvenience.
Especially if your supporting argument is " I heard it on HBC".
Remember, poachers are specialists at creating proof.

Truth. You always have to be able to establish the truth. If you can't and you're putting yourself in a situation where it could be questioned...I'd strongly recommend setting yourself up for success. I believe that an unaltered smartphone (or any other device that adds GPS coordinates to photos) photo should be sufficient for your needs.
