thought i would post him up,,,not the biggest buck,,but he is a fine young buck to arrow, only sat in my stand for 2 hours in total.
only reason i sat for another 15 or so minutes after i arrowed him was cause i am deathly allergic to ungulates and had forgot my pills. so i had to make a few texts to my buddy rocksteady to come out with the pills. So nice to be close to home and have such great hunting.

Nothn wrong with that buck. But gotta say, that's a strange allergy. Can you eat deer though? Or is it just the dander or hide or ??

the allergy is brutal,,its the same with cats,,deathly allergic to them too. I can thankfully eat the meat,,just the hair and dander from them. if i don't get a pill in me my eyes swell, my throat swells and i have difficulty breathing,,now with a bad heart i can't take the chance at all. need those pills!! My eyes in the past have swelled to the point where i had to labour to open them, my throat swells and u cane hear me wheezing to breathe.
In the past i when i have arrowed an animal and i know the shot is a kill, within 2 minutes i reach into my pocket and take a pill and am good to go!

Nice buck for sure! I know a couple guys that are allergic to deer or moose hair, but it seems to suddenly go away once the animal is gutted and in the ruck, very odd???

I have a similar allergy to the hair/hides but not as severe as yours sounds, I get all itchy and can get some small/minor hives and if I touch my eyes it will transfer and make them puffy and itchy but nothing worse yet. I make sure I take an allergy pill like you and then make sure I'm wearing gloves when handling the animal or hide.

Its the worst,,my hands get so itchy even with the pills,,i dunno about any whom have had itchy hands and fingers, but u can't relieve the itch, it burns and it sux so bad. scratch it and scratch it,,the only thing that helps is washing with some kind of soap that has pumice in it like fast orange or the likes thereof.
BUT IT WONT STOP THE HUNT!

Nice buck for sure! And a lot of fun with a bow. I too use the rage 2 blade and as long as I shoot straight, have been very impressed. I once hit a buck in the shoulder, didn't get penetration but the cut bled the deer out in pretty quick order.

oh,,the allergy pills i seem to have that work but are the 24 hour rapid dissolve claritan. Once they hit the lounge the dissolve and get in your system right away,,i have even had to take 2 if its a rutted up animal, don't know why but just have had to.
