Packed up from our recent Moose hunting trip ( unsuccessful) Left a generator cabled to a tree. Got home and realized it was left behind. Had an awesome guy drive in there today. Tree cut down and generator gone. Hoping someone here might have it and I can give them the combination to the lock for a reward. Gotta throw it out there.. Thanks

someone might just be hanging on to it.

Sounds like that is exactly what is happening. I hope old Sander comes through for albee.

A few years ago we came out of Tuchodi lakes on a boat with another group. By accident they took our new packable aluminum table when we offloaded the boat. I knew the guy was a member on here so we traded a couple messages about either sending the table or some cash. I got neither and he sort of disappeared. Some folks just a bit short in the honesty department.

Sorry Albee for not getting back to you but have been out in the field. I don't know to much about your generator other than I was coming out of new gold mine road {146 km on the Kluskus} and heard two guys talking on RR21 about a generator chained to a tree.I could not hear them good but thought they were talking about a wind generator since it was chained to a tree. Then I read your post and it all made sense. I wish I could be more help??

Might be a long shot, but contact the licencee for that area and ask for the contact information of any contractors currently working off that road system. I'm assuming it's logging activity, but Sander mentioned a mine, so I don't know. If they were blabbing about it on the radio, I'm thinking they were treating it as "Finders, Keepers" and an honest(er) person would feel less awkward giving it back under those circumstances, as opposed to having outright stolen it from an occupied camp.

Hope it works out for you.

Albee what day did you leave camp? was it when the open bull season was on.? In the past there is people from all over BC come up and hunt that road for that short bull opening. Did you see a lot of hunters while you were there? I will keep my ears open

NOOOOOOO! i was hoping this got back to you, its hard to call them thieves but thats what they are,, cut the tree down to take the generator that was chained to the tree makes em thieves in my book...unless they get it back to you,,I'm saying they are thieves. If it gets back to you then ill issue an apology

I can't understand why some one forget of all things a generator? That's why we start cleaning up the day or two before, last day if someone wants to early hunt one always stays behind to look after packing starting with an expensive generator, always check out old camps but to find a generator???

If I may hijack the thread a little bit, how was hunting? I applied for LEH there even though I know nothing of the area and did not get a draw.

Hunting in 6-01 was slow this fall.Only saw one camp with a decent bull.Talked to lots of guys they all said the same.
