I had that the other day..if you go to advanced it works fine. No idea what was causing it but it did it to me at home.Maybe a Chrome version issue?

Yes. One long bunch of words stuck together. I have been pasting from Word program because didn't realize posting from advanced window would solve the problem. Thanks for the tip.

Are you trying on a computer or from a mobile device? Works fine for me without going to the "Advanced Editor" right now on my laptop.

I found the same issue talked about on a reply from another, vBulletin specific forum. This is specific to vBulletin4:

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum/vbulletin-4/vbulletin-4-questions-problems-and-troubleshooting/4356452-space-bar-not-working-on-reply

There is too much to cut and paste the whole thread, but here are a couple of snips:

"I have the very same issue. VB Version 4.2.3, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 - both 64-bit, Chrome 64-bit Version 54.0.2840.59 m (64-bit)

Since upgrading to the latest Chrome version, I cannot use the space bar under the following circumstances:

When using Quick Reply, and the cursor is positioned right BELOW the quoted text. The spacebar does not work. If you re-position the spacebar above the quoted text, the spacebar will work. To reproduce the issue, you must use Quick Reply.

Also, if you go to Advanced Mode on the reply, the spacebar works. I have verified this on three computers. It is definitely from the latest Chrome update.

The problem does not exist when using Internet Explorer."

AND a potential workaround:

"I just noticed that the "standard editor" seems to work fine. It might be a good compromise, b/c it still allows folks who are used to the wysiwyg editor to have buttons for "bold", etc, and to use shortcuts like "ctrl+b".

I thought I saw a post that showed how we could force an editor change for every user, but I don't see it now...

EDIT TO ADD: Settings --> Options --> Message Posting Interface Options... Then, change "Full Editor", "Quick Reply", and "Quick Edit" dropdowns to "Enable Standard Controls" seems to produce the desired effect of globally disabling the wysiwyg editor for all users, and offering the standard editor and basic editor as options."

Try , hold down space bar, the enter key and the back space key all at once for 5 seconds.

Fixed it for me.

I get missing letters and everything. It seems to be working now. Thanks BCBRAD.

We are all used to reading run on sentences by now...so to save space all posts will
now be run-on words.
