Holding the phone up to the spotter is a royal pain. Went to see how i can make an adapter for the camera and behold .... a perfect fit. The camera lens fit snuggly into the eye piece with no adapter required.

HBC upload tool really messed this pic up though ..............

What do you guys use for digiscoping?

That's a lucky fit. I've been using a phone scope for my iPhone and it works great

Phoneskope

Did you buy one or make one? I couldn't find for my Samsung Galaxy S6 that fits the Vortex Razor scope. I will have to make one.

The phone takes incredible pictures and video. Way better than my aging point and shoot ... However, battery life on the phone sucks compared to the camera. So for those multi day trips without a way to recharge the phone it is a no go.

Pros: lucky fit, no extra gadgets required.
Cons: Phone takes better pics/vids than this 8 year old camera does lol

Phoneskope made the adapter for my phone/Razor spotter. Check out some of the great portable solar chargers on the market -- http://www.inergysolar.com/product-category/solar-generators/

$50USD for a case from phoneskope .... come on. That's beyond ridiculous. I guess it's still fairly new as I don't see it on eBay, but it's just a matter of time before that is $4.99 with free shipping from Hong Kong.

Edit ... that's $50 for the case PLUS $30 for the adapter. That's $110 canadian .... are they serious?!?

i use a CANON S90 . and a swaroski digital camera base.. its a bulky unit that fits on the scope and then you put the camera on the DCB . lower the camera up and down .. Then make photos. i have used it a few time in the last ten years . not as much as i would have liked for the money i have in it .Now of course they have a simple Iphone adapter for a fraction of the price .. There is a good web sight with some good digiscoping advice .The birdforum digiscoping
