'No bag limit for wolves'.......Huh! Has there ever been a bag limit ?
MOE acknowledges problems with predator numbers ( actually a problem with ungulate numbers, partially due to predators :(), and this is the answer ?
If is was NBL, open 12 months, I bet the harvest would only rise by maybe 10% , w.a.g.

I like those new predator seasons for Region 3. I would suspect it is part of the Mountain Caribou Recovery Strategy. It looks good.
It's good to see some of the New Hunter Recruitement goals being implemented. Hopefully those youth antlerless seasons will be extended to all Regions next year.

If hunter numbers are truley down, it should be interesting to see what they will do in the future to introduce more young hunters.I'm so sick of people telling me are you really going to hunt "Bambie".After i explain that Bambie is not real,it's just a cartoon,i try to educate them on the importance of having hunters help manage wildlife.
If hunting is a good thing and it helps in wildlife management, then we need Mr.Barry Penner Minister of Enviroment to do a better job educating
the Bambie lovers how things work inthe real world.

Hunting dry ground cats here might be more than a little challenging. I'll definately have a lion tag in the pocket during deer season just in case of those chance encounters, but I won't be holding my breath until the snow hits the ground. I really like the wolf and bear season extensions. Would like to see their bag limits increased here though. Maybe that's coming for next year. Wolves are booming and they are a chance encounter hunt. Sure would be nice to SMOKE A PACK if you had the chance.

Do you really want to leave the resposibility of making the public aware of guns and hunting, up to the Gov't ??
I think it should be up to the grass-roots faction, the Fish And Game Clubs, Shooting Sports Clubs, and such. Public displays, field days at the range, Open Houses, etc.

Check out the regs pertaining to 'Evidence of sex' and compulsory inspection'
For cow moose taken, CI is required and the complete reproductive tract must be turned in !! Theres a bucket load, most hunters won't be happy to deal with.

Great idea,i think we have start in the schools to educate the children.
bring back the C.O.R.E program as a elective, have CSSA speak with students.
I hate the goverment as much as the next guy,but like it or not if this is not an idea from the goverment it may never happen.

I hear you,i do my part when i can,but we need to reach the masses.
Unfortunately the general public in all reality will not listen to a bunch of redneck hunters give their biased opinion on why hunting is important to wildlife management .Sure we will manage to get some friends or acquaintances to the range and maybe hunting, but to reach the masses we need help from what the public views as an unbiased group that has no hidden agenda other than to manage wildlife.
Look at the whole global warming thing, one guy comes out with a video and all of the sudden we need to change our ways, or else.

Ya know anyone who want's to make a video?
