This moose was a mutant. He was with some dry cows in a willow patch. When I first saw him he was laying down. At first thought it was another cow due to his large body. After a few minutes of trying to get to a better position to see I finally made out the one long point. O.K now were legal. I could not shoot till he stood up as willow obscured all vital spots. After about 15 minutes I clapped loud, nothing still just keep snoozing. Made a cow and bull calls with the same result.
Thinking what else to try I came to the conclusion your a 125yds away just yell and be ready.

So I yelled ' HEY NO SNOOZING ON THE JOB". Within a few seconds he stood up. One shot behind the shoulder he twisted and fell into a skidder tire hole and that was that. I only have a couple of cell ph. pics but here's pic 2 on the first trip out. Still had to go back for the front half head plus chainsaw.
