SCRATCH THIS, SEE MY NEXT POST....Well it looks like I managed to get a goat draw for the McBride area. The only problem is the area I was succesful for is not the area I "thought" I applied for. Whether it was a screw up on my part (filled out the wroong code) or what, is neither here nor there at this point, but the problem is I know nothing about this area. Does anyone know anything about this place...access, goats, etc. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated

You will be spending alot of time in there before you get a goat. Its probably the least successful unit of all the zones out there.

okay, sorry guys....had last years synopsis in front of me..didnt relize it. Turns out did get the area i wanted, 7-04. But still, any pointers you have would be good.

Goats


I don't know if this helps but I was in 7-05 last fall looking for Goats in an open area.


Real tough slogging and a good 3500 foot climb. Got to see a few but couldn't bloody get close enough for a shot. Beautiful wild country.:-?


The trouble I noticed is that in 7-02, 7-03, 7-04, and others up there , that theres tons of closed ares that have been given to the outfitters.


You cant get into cretain areas because of road closed rules etc


Its a real pain.


Best to read the regs and study up on it.

Here you go in your area. If my buddy didn't get the draw in that area I will give you some pointers. After I put the camera away they passed by me at arms length. If he did get the draw I hope you understand about me keeping it to myself.

you can literally drive a jeep to goats in 7-02, 7-03, and7-04....and there are lots.PM me I will be glad to point you in the right direction. I grew up there.
