Heading up the valley tomorrow to have a look for my goat. Hiking up into the Alpine around Boulder Creek. Was wondering if any of you fine gents who live in the area could give me the snow report up high.

Much appreciated!

Drove over the Hurley. Snow starts just below the top of the pass.

And? Any goat story to tell? I've seen them in that area (never had a tag in my pocket).

I hiked up. Well past my knees where I went. Had to rescue a cam before it disappeared for the winter, I've got some crazy friends who have already been backcountry skiing they just hike straight up with full gear and start skinning at the snowline, that seems excessive to me though lol.

Made the stalk on a nice set up high. Ended up being a group of Nanny's and kids. About 7 of them. Got myself within 80 yards. Was pretty cool. First time hunting goats for me. Back in a week to find my Billy!

Anyone been up that way over the weekend? How's the snow line? I heard it dumped rain good on Saturday.

Snow line is still pretty high. It was fairly warm this weekend and it just dumped rain.

I've made my mind up. I'm going to spend Friday-Sunday up the valley looking for a buck. Rain or shine.

Just an FYI they have closed the gate at the hydro project to hunting if you are planning on going past km 37

You know, I was too but I guess that puts a stop to that days plans. Thanks for the heads up. Is that no vehicle access passed the gate on the lillooet fsr? I was hoping to get up as far as Salal Creek. That's to bad.

I spent two full days in the Soo and didn't see a thing. Valley bottom to up around 1500m.
