Greetings;Does anybody out there have any recent knowledge of the hunting opportunities around the wokkpash lake area? I am planning on flying in with Urs in mid Sept. The information I have is about 10 yrs. old,so any updated information would be greatly appreciated.

What ya lookin for? There are sheep, moose, caribou, B Bear, Grizzly, Wolf, Wolvarine, ect in that area. Not much in the way of Elk. Hunting in general is pretty good, and you should not see too many others in the area, as far as locals. It's a pretty long hike to get in there weather you take the trail from Sumit, or the trail from the Davis Keays road, flying is the way to go if you're packin a load. There are a few guys that take horses in, but not many.

Hey, Thanks for the reply Rock Doctor.I'm going for stone sheep, and I just picked up a G bear leh permit,so if I should be so lucky.....Sheep is the priority though. As well I'm hearing theres good caribou traveling through as well.Have you been in there?

It's been a couple yrs, but I have walked in a twice, and flown over a few times as well. It takes about 7 hrs to walk in, so like I said, not much for people in there. Fishing is very good, for Grayling in particular. I have seen some massive Caribou in that area, and some pretty nice Sheep as well.
