Between my brother, my dad and I we have had 2 action packed weekends. Both spots i have been doing my research on and were new to us. They worked out really well! My plan this year was to find good reliable spots that will produce freezer filling bucks and thats exactly what we got and then some! With a bunch of hiking and a whole lot of prayer we brought these guys home with us.

I'm just curious, what was your plan for previous years?? Come home empty handed?? :)

Well I grew up a casual hunter (2-3 trips a year) but the last 3 years I have really started to hunt hard. We normally go on big elk or moose trips but this year I decided to just stick to deer and figure out consistent freezer fillers and the eventually work my way up to the big stuff.

Okay, I was doing my fair share of praying too but did not have the same results as you. So there must be something else that we're doing differently. Nice work though!

GOOD GRIEF !!!!
Is the one on the left in the first picture even legal ?
He couldn't even run away without legs or anything. He'd be so low to the ground, how did you ever even spot him?
I must admit that when I look for a meat buck I hope for one with a body, that guy with just a head well he wouldn't fill the freezer too much.

Good job, I've had a few hunts like that
tons of fun
tons more work
congrats!

It really pays to have a couple of good spots in different regions like that. See any WT's?

No whitetails but I wasn't in whitetail areas. I'm gonna try for whitetails later in October and in November.
