Hi guys, I was wondering if it would be worth while having the mods put in a category to do specifically with processing your deer, moose, elk or what have you (kind of an after it's down kind of thing). Maybe in this forum we could share the way to break down a animal into cuts of meat etc. As well as hanging time, what sour or spoiled meat looks/smells like, tools we use, IE knives, grinders, stuffers and even homemade sausage recipes (something without nitrates maybe). Throw in some of your own ideas and lets get this done. We could include some good videos from breaking down the animal in the field to making sausage, to smoking meat and so on. I just bought my HD carnivore 1hp grinder from cabelas and can't wait to make some of my mule deer into sausage.

You'd get much better info and fast if you searched you-tube. Invariably a forum like that would just be posted with links to them anyhow!
