The WSSBC is pleased to release the “Wild Sheep Raffles” for 2016/2017 (formerly the Hunt of a Lifetime)! Over the past 2 years we have asked our members what they wanted to see and overwhelmingly we were told, “More hunts”. So, this year we have expanded our lineup to include a Desert Sheep Hunt in addition to our BC Roosevelt Elk hunt.
The Desert Sheep hunt is not just any hunt, we decided to purchase the absolute best tag that we could find! This hunt retails for $65,000 USD, it is completely fair chase (recognized by Boone and Crockett Club) with no high fences. The sheep herds on La Pamosa were originally transplanted from famed Tiburon Island and the genetics here are phenomenal with many rams taken in the 170’s and 180’s! Not only is the hunting great, the accommodations are second to none. Travel is included with this package.
Another change you will notice is we are now selling tickets online, the process will be simpler, faster, more secure and your purchased tickets will be emailed to you immediately.
In the past 2 years these raffles have generated over $50,000 that are being directed to habitat enhancement projects around the province. They have also created great opportunities for our members and supporters to enjoy an experience they normally wouldn’t as well as some great gear! We would like to thank our donors without which this wouldn’t be possible.
