We went out this afternoon about 3:30 for an afternoon duck hunt. Out hunting area is only minutes from town so we were able to be set up by 4:15. The ducks were already coming to have a look at our dekes. The birds came in small to medium flocks and decoyed exceptionally well. Two hours later we were packing up and the odd small flock still came to have a look. Between the 7 of us we got a mixed bag of ducks, mostly mallards. By the time we were packing up it was too dark for decent pictures. Due to some health issues the guys told me to get in my layout stay there and shoot. Big thanks to the fellows for looking after me. Great shoot and looking forward to some duck sausage after the season is over. 31 ducks in all. Thanks again guys.
