Bears in 100 Mile

Looks like I will be heading to my buddys cabin at 100 Mile for the long weekend, so I may be able to get one last day of bear hunting in. (saturday)

I've never hunted bears around there, so any suggestions?

Gatehouse, that is exactly what we are doing to help a bearless buddy get his. We might see you on the trails:-D

They're somewhat difficult to find right around town but if you get out say 45 minutes outside of town just search for bear sign, theres lots around. Do the typical look for really green areas, and head out about three hours before dark. Good Luck!

Gate...I would try up near HELENA lake there are a LOT of open areas..as well as tons of snowmobile trails for easy travel for bears...its on the west side on the hill overlooking Lac la Hache..or HWY little fort up near the summit??better coats???still cold..
