that’s a beauty, doesn’t look too be an ancient ram either. Congrats to the hunter.

looks like its the ram in the middle in the before picture (correct me if i'm wrong) is there a story on the one at the back? the picture sure looks like he has a wide and deep curl - just wondering if he wasn't of age or full curl.
Awesome pics though, thanks for posting Brent.

Yes, only 8.

The ram on the ground is the top ram in the picture.
Middle ram was 10. Nice ram but not what I was looking for.

Interesting to see the two horn styles together and be able to compare and visualize what the mount on the wall would look like
Congrats to the shooter

When assessing a ram it sure does help to have other rams to compare. Know of a few short-faced sheep shot that were on their own that looked a lot bigger than they actually were.

I was wondering the same thing ... but from the other thread "as they lay" it doesnt seem so. The goat doesnt look too beat up, so I would say no.

If he shot it there it would be in pretty bad shape me thinks.

Yep. He fell about 30 feet and stopped. I was trying to plant him on the cliff as there was a way up to him but the fall wasn't too bad in the end. No meat or horn damage.

Hopefully the link works. Wolf before and after. Caught on trail cam in spring. Killed in fall. Pack has over 20 adults as of last fall. Region 8 wolf. Shot at under 5 yards with my 7mag after howling in the pack. He scored 16-5/16 making the BC record book.

Thanks! Yes the packs still around. I’ve kept tabs on them all spring. Didn’t pursue them as I was busy looking for a bruin. I’ll be after them again in the fall.

Not many posts on here lately. Hopefully some before and afters start showing up. Here’s a bear before and after from a few years ago to give this forum a bump.

Thanks all. It is my best bull to date. Taken this sept 22 at noon. + 25, snuck into a cool shaded valley bottom with a creek in it. He bugled quietly to call us in as he thought we were other elk. No calling on the way in, and a challenge bugle to get him up and hold him for a few seconds. Probably a 1000lbs elk. I am feeling pretty satisfied for the first time in a long time.

He did, after he locked up for a second or 2 he hit the bush running and I wasn’t about to loose him. Ol blaze of glory died in thunder valley. He was a bullet proof elk. Murdered a few trees too.

Just started butching him tonight , 50
lbs of trimmed ground out of the neck alone. Hard to fathom how big he really is.
