Can anyone give a lesson on what these are and how I can use one? :)

My logic is you want to be shooting 1 MOA. Or even 2 if you're lucky. Because 0.5 MOA might bleed all over the place.

They're everywhere! Just crank up your magnification so the reticle bury's an moa target and let er rip. You should be covering much more area than the moa size target and it'll have no chance. Not the best eating but a couple days marinating and they're not bad:razz:

MOA tags are right beside the grouse tags at front counter BC

If you put in enough time, you will get your MOA. When you do, follow the same recipe as tag soup. It's much sweeter/less bitter than tag soup though.

Well there's a bit more to it. You have to take your distance and find the actual moa size target in inches at said distance, subtract diameter of bullet, divide by your constant (9.80) cross reference with your handy chart book for bdc hold off aim and fire. Maybe Mils taste better though, haven't given a fair chance yet...

Hunting just gets more and more confusing. K just to clarify do you pronounce it "em-oh-ay" or is it "mow-ah" or just "mow"? Is sluicing them where they stand kosher or should you really be wing shooting them? Need to keep up with all this new stuff I don't want to sound like an idjut talking about all this ..

even though there's NBL on MOA's, I still find it sad that people don't take the time to drag them off the road

I was up country this weekend and had to drive around 3 separate kills

kids thought it was cool tho

You guys are brutal, you should be letting the MOA's go grow up.... you should only be shooting the SUB MOA's...... Give yer head's a shake!

This is what bugs me about hunting now a days, everyone wants gps coordinates from the Internet. What don't you go burn some boot leather and get your MOA the old fashion way.

The sub MOAs are smaller. Equivalent to a fawn or a lamb vs a full grown animal. Every time I hear someone bragging about shooting sub MOA I just want to throttle them. Such a waste.

They have sweeter meat though. Who wants an old rutted up MOA when you can have a fresh tender sub-MOA?

I see your logic. But why in Gods name do people have to shoot multiple sub MOA groups? When does the madness end?

With some coaching I shot a 10" MOA at a 1000 meters once. Should have mounted it on the wall. But I'm not in it for the trophy.

Psh... All these people so proud shooting sub MOAs. My tikka is guarantees to shoot 1 MOA @ 100 yrds out of the box. I beat that guarantee by shooting 6 MOA! It's with the taxidermist now getting a full mount.

Nice! You know there's a possession limit of 5 MOA...But that's our little secret.

I'm not sure where you find them but I've heard that when cooking them. you use the same instructions that you find on Minute Rice. :)

I hear you, I am toying with the idea of a euro mount

that, or a full mount on a rocky outcropping

It all started from another thread where someone asked about shooting BDCs

From what i have been told hunting pokemon is a preamble to hunting MOA,Its an attempt to attract more people to the sport.

The only thing I've shot in 2 years was MOA's, and little immature ones at that. The good thing though, meat spoilage is non-existant, and packing them out is easy - I wouln't recommend road hunting them though, probably why I've never seen Fisher-dude post pictures with them.

The best part of hunting MOA's is if you have split yours with others you hunt with. Say there's four if you, and you are the only one who has the skills and determination to bag an MOA. At the end of the trip, everyone gets a 1/4 MOA and you are happier than if you had the whole thing. Odd, ain't it?

I imagine, if it's like any other meat on the planet, that an MOA should make some decent pepperoni.

Not really. Tastes like paper. Sometimes tastes like stop signs or other road markers.
