I just bought my first bow from used Nanaimo but I have heard Buck's in Duncan us good. I have been to Cabela's and Wholesale sports and have found them both helpful. Cabela's seems to have a bigger selection of bows.

I would give The Hermit/Vantage Point Outfitters a call.Bill should be able to set you up, and give you great advice & lessons if need be. I highly recommend his services ;-)

Yep, a basic package will be fine but as you get better you' may want to upgrade to a high quality drop away rest and good fibre optic sight. Whether you buy it upfront or upgrade as you go is your call. Being 20 yards from critters and making a shot is the best hunting experience you'll ever get in my opinion (especially off its a screaming bull elk!). Get a lesson or two as well, good form from the start will help a lot.
