Yes a bit of luck I need. 2nd year chasing Bambi's Dad & still no meat in the freezer. Thoroughly enjoy the time outdoors though. Last season all my hunts were single day, in/out. Saw more deer on the trips in/out than during the actual hunt. A couple close encounters but never pulled the trigger since I wasn't certain of species and/or point count. Most encounters were dawn & dusk, but one time last year I stumbled upon a troupe of WTs while crossing a switchback FSR. 25 meters away & we had a staring contest until they trotted off into the woods. My rifle was slung, so I stood there riveted, knowing as soon as I moved they'd bolt. Bit of a conundrum. Here's a link to my adventure in the Monashees yesterday. Yet another encounter flushing a couple of WTs very close to where I parked. 2 does although I didn't get a good look at one of them.
