It looks like I'll be out there for opening weekend. Today is the last day of my meds which make me need to sleep a lot, so I probably won't make first light, but at least I'll be out there. Can't wait!! Good luck to all

I'm jealous of all of you. A friendly reminder not to knock your wife up when the due date will be right as the season opens!

I had a block on the calendar that was a no hump zone.....back in the family planning days. Cut it pretty tight but then I started early season sheep hunting so my plan didn't really work.

If you live in LML, you can forget about the concept of avoiding traffic.
Last weekend took me 1.5 hr to get to Chilliwack from Surrey and I'm sure today will be the same.

If you hunt with rope and sticks you can get out.

Guns and hand loads are sighted in and ready. I got my shotgun disassembled and cleaning it in the sink. Knives need to be sharpened. Oh yeah, it's Christmas Eve!

Ropes and sticks. No thanks. I have enough expensive hobbies without dropping a grand plus on a bow setup.

Head down to 0 Ave then back to Vye Rd.

I've already cut two tags and put six rabbits in the freezer.

Hubby is hiking into the alpine to set up his base camp as I type! I'm not set up for that type of hunting just yet so he's doing a solo trip this weekend. Fingers crossed! :) looking forward to reading all the stories from everyone over the new few days. I'll be spending my weekend canning meat, salsa from my own tomatoes and freeing up space in the freezer!

Yup, I'm stoked too!! Just vacuumed packed last batch of candied spring salmon this am. Sighted the gun in again this week. Confidence is high with scouts into hunting spots that indicated a good deer population. Looking forward to tomorrow's hunt. Good Luck everyone.

I've been planning to wait a bit, like old Duallie used to do, let things get cold. But now reading all these excited comments I'm thinking I might have to go out and put some miles on.

Good luck everyone!
