So I haven't hunted waterfowl locally in region 2 Lower Mainland in a while and I desperately want to get back into it. I haven't gone in a few years and looking into it, they have closed down my old spot due to 'complaints'. This is disheartening but it won't stop me from trying new areas. In fact I have all my licences in order and I'm going to do a scouting mission up the Pitt River once I post this. I hear the dykes south of the lake are great with a boat. I have a small zodiac that I am able to use. Looking at the Special Area Hunting Licence map from 2015-2016 (can't find new one online) it looks like you can still hunt the dykes north of Ladner Rd. Any one know for sure? I'm going to drive up and check it out for myself. If anyone wants to go duck/geese hunting the Lower Mainland this year send me a PM and let's go.
