Not a Single Buck

So I went into 5-15 to sniff around for a four point. Didn't see a buck nor a track. However while I was parked I listen to a quad drive in from what must have been at least five or six k away. Poor guy didn't flush anything our either. Not getting particularly cold as of yet.

I may be wrong but I thought you could not use quads in there?

I used to hunt 5-15 a lot. You have to get out and walk. it was rare to see a deer on the road for me.

I hit 3-32 for the opener. Fog and snow kept me from seeing anything. I have hunted 5-15 as well and treeline is where you need to find deer there on sept 1.

Yeah I hit the bush a little bit. They are still up high. May go back this weekend even though the rest of 5 will be open for four points. Been learning a bit about trail cam placement and the like as well. Much to learn.

Yes I did! Right on the side of red mountain for all to see. They are in the alpine there
