Hey all. Has anyone been thru the Kookipi road recently? Just looking for road conditions. Haven't been thru in a few years and even when I was going thru on a regular basis it was different every time with washouts and such. Was told by a friend there's a few tight spots but he is going on info from last fall. Taking some family members from Winnipeg thru if we can, not looking to make a serious expedition out of it, just a mountain drive. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks

Last I heard about 2 years ago was that around shovel creek there was a boulder or some obstruction on the road that nothing much larger than a Toyota Tacoma could squeeze through. They have been logging up there, so there has been some road maintenance up to around 10km.

Went through about a month ago from Harrison to Boston bar. Road was really good. Couple rough patches but got through it no problem in a stock 2010 pathfinder.

Excellent thanks guys. We're going in from Boston Bar for a tour up Nahatlatch and then back down thru Kookipi to make a good day of it. Bears and 4pts are open on the 3-15 side of the pass as well so it's a good excuse to take the rifle for a drive too.
