FWID for Youth hunters???

Been trying to find out how to get my daughter her new FWID (she has her own hunter's number). Reading FAQ's on both the BCEiD and FWID sites and can't quite figure how old one has to be to get a BCeID.

Anyone figure it out yet?? It's crunch time.

It's really easy. just get them a basic BCEID like you would for yourself, provide the documentation, and you have it. IF you want, I'm sure front counter would be happy to help in person. I just did one for my kid.

Ok. Ill do just that. I think I may have to take her down as I think the only ID she might have is a BC medical card.

Just did my sons as he just passed core, you can use your ID as proof of residency and other than that it is pretty easy. Had his FWID number in a couple of days> Just get Basic BCEid.

Panicked a bit this weekend because I was told at the retailer (Can Tire), that I couldn't get my license (or my son's [youth hunt]) until we got the FWID (and that it can take up to 3 business days to arrive).
We both did it online on Sunday (wasn't that hard), but when I called the toll free number today I was told that since we both had a hunter number it can all be done at any retailer. She mentioned that it sounds like some better "retailer training" is in order. I would have to agree!

Did it online and it seemed a lot easier than when I did it several months ago.

Just a heads up that they want to see some ID for from the kids getting their hunting licences now. That's new.

No. Just ID. Birth certificate, medical card etc.
They asked if she had a drivers license. I said she's 13. Damn girls and puberty.

Went thru the Id for 2 x 11 year olds yesterday at Cabelas- did not end up having to produce it-Just FWID
