Anyone ever set a trail cam for sheep or goats?

Anyone (other the howtohunt) ever set out game cams for sheep or goats? Few years ago we flew in on a sheep hunt, found one of the heaviest goat/sheep trails iv ever seen, seemed to have goats/sheep and a few caribou using it. This year when we flew in, I set up a new game cam with a external 12v battery, and will fly back in next year for a hunt and to pick it up, hoping to get some cool shots. The spot that I set it seems to be quite the hang out for the 3 critters, the area infront of my cam was littlerd in turds, the ground is tore up pretty good, I'm thinking there must be a mineral that they'r after. There's also a cave right beside it that had water dripping from inside, in the cave was pure hoof prints in the mud, years of them it looked like.

Anyone ever done this before? Care to share the photos you got? I have a 32 gig card, and hoping the battery's last up until nov/dec at least (maybe get some rut action)

I'm doubtful I'll get rams on cam, but have seen a lot of ewes/lambs and all kinda of goats in this spot, another reason to be excited for next august.

I keep thinking I should send some cams up to Sherpa-Al or NorBC and get them to put them in some hot spots around "Dink Mountain"

Great idea for a camera, a special spot for sure. Had a spot that I always wanted to set one up , high pass with a well used trail, but would have had to build a camera shelter, never happened.

So, my cam ran right up until it got picked up last week, aug 2016 to aug 2017, over 2400 pics!! Looks like I'll need to figure out this photo sharing since the bucket went down ;). Coolest cam Iv ever set out!

Hmm nowhere near as energetic as yours but have been trying to anticipate the movement of a band of 22 sheep, Cali Bighorn.
2 where great rams, however they only appear 2x each year at one specific location.i set the camera out past spring..2 months. .got deer..mulies..lynx..and..the sheep..minus the rams..don't know why..will try again soon for 4 months..
Trying to locate a shooter for great friend Scott.cali die off has been worse than brutal.lol got more sheep on camera than ever got moose.

Iv been playing with another goat cam since last spring. Last time I was up there was the last week of October, one of the last videos was a billy pushing his weight around. I’m hoping to get up there any time here to pick up the SD and change the external battery out so it’s ready for kidding season. Hoping to have some good rut action on it from November. Some day if I get a computer again, I’ll post a few vids up.

looks like that goat didn’t know what to think of the cam lol. Did you end up leaving it up there for the winter Warn?

This was in 2017. Went up to Terrace in September to cut trail for my dad. Cappy Tire in Smithers had them on for cheap. So I figured why not. Got a lot of pictures of the sunrise and sunsets... grass.

They aren't currently up anywhere at the moment

I've got one set up in Bighorn country... Just hoping it made it through the last weekend of hunting season without getting stolen. Hoping to get in in June to have a look and see what's on there.
