Taking my son moose hunting around Atlin and traveling the Alaskan Hwy in Sept. Never gave it any thoughts but was looking at the regs for any open season for Caribou in 6-23, 6-24 & 6-25. We have three weeks to burn and thought a combo hunt would be cool with some fishing along the way. If anyone is willing to share some general access points for Caribou, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Nothing? Not looking for co-ordinates, just general areas where a guy can get off the highway and have a reasonable chance at seeing caribou during the GOS

Lots of 400 m road closures for the moose rut in 6-25, how late are you going ?
Took the truck up above some 'bous on the Bull Cr road once, they can be anywhere

S.E. of town. several roads and/or atv trails go to the tops, lots of old mining activity in the area

It's been a while since you've been up there I guess Boxhitch. The whole area 6-25 from Atilin Lake to Teslin Lake is LEH only, it also includes a portion of 6-26 well south of Atlin

I live in atlin , no caribou open here leh only, or fly in. Bull creek road is leh only but there is caribou there if you just want to look at them.

I remember when the leh offered a lot more cariboo , close to 70, in that area. Is it politics? Or is there a shortage?

There is lots but several groups say numbers are lower than they used to be.political
