I can't stay off this site and google earth, just waiting for September to roll around

Yup, running a bit of a fever myself as we speak. Sitting here going over flash earth and choosing some spots for Thursday morning. Hitting the bush for the next couple of days to do some scouting and try to bring the fever down some what, usually seeing some deer will help.

Is that not just normal anticipation of the hunt...heheheheh...I have always thought of "buck fever" to mean getting shaky and nervous when the big boy is in your sights...??? that will be here soon enough ...I hope!

I will agree at this stage of the game anticipation is a better description but this is when all that build up is started.

Hahah....awesome to hear....and yes this is the first signs of buck fever the and eventually only being cured by a loud bang or a whisp of air being broke by a release of a arrow.....its that deep predatory instinct......feeling that cold autumn air starting last night kicked it into over drive....i work nights an it was the first time all summer I needed a hoodie at the end of the night.....bag is pack.... gear lined up....come on Sept

People think I'm weird because when they look through my computer's history, all they find is hunting and hunting related sites... no porn or online dating sites.

I'm dying to get out in the woods, going from go for bunnies just as an excuse to go. Worst of all, my work shifts changed from 3-13 hr days 4 off (giving more time to hunt) to 4 10's. What a difference one day less makes, especially to the ever patient wife and toddlers. Can't wait until November when shift changes back and my moose and doe draws open.

Google Earth is consuming a lot of my time and my hunting area has new photos since 2014 so some areas are interesting to revisit and see the new roads and access points. This site is the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do before hitting the hay. I even pop on a couple times during the day just to read the headings so I can anticipate reading the full posts in the evening.

Knifes are sharpened, day pack it reloaded, and the kids and I are driving my wife crazy with all the elk calls around the house.

When I'm not on here I'm glass out the front LR window towards the large alpine meadow where the elk have been hanging around. Even seen a couple sheep grazing.

I sense a bit of sick time from work for buck fever in another week.

Oh man that would have me shaking....being able to see wildlife like that from your window....i look out mine and all I see is the old fat east Indian dude taking his trash out...or mowing the lawn with no shirt....c'mon Sept lol

10 years ago when we were looking to purchase our house we looked at two houses on the same street. The main deciding factor for me was the view of the ridge. Pre-season scouting from the lazy boy in the living room is a nice sales feature of the house. Our house is the second last house in town and has ALR across the street so in the am and pm I get to also watch the huge mule deer bucks chase the does from the lakeshore to their bedding site. Garbage day almost always guarantees bear activity on street because some neighbours dont understand we live in bear country. There was also the day we discovery our cat missing and cougar tracks beside the house.
Never a dull moment in the spring or fall.

Solely Horn porn

Recent kill in Nevada

Would I ever spend 10 grand on a hunt....let alone 400 grand...never.

If I cant earn it and do it on my own......I have zero interest.

serious question .... is that a wild buck on public land, or a fenced ranch? Or a farm buck released onto public land for a hunter to get guided to on the season opener after he pays his $$$

Because i can't figure out where the $400k price tag comes from :/
That is an absurd amount of money to shoot an animal.

I get that feeling for hunting, hiking, shooting, camping, fishing, but most of all for hunting and hiking...I've got the fever year round..I'm so excited for this hunting season that I think I've got every hunting day in September planned in my head..couple hunts in during bow season, one being on a bike, followed by a 4 day elk hunt in the Kooteneys, followed by a couple more day elk/deer hunts in some spots I've scouted this season..

End of July/early August and it consumes me. I usually buy some new gear and look forward to backing off the throttle a bit at work. I honestly don't get as jacked for anything else, ever. You are not alone my friend. We are a passionate bunch

Beyond excited, way more hunts dreamed up than I will possibly have time for. On google earth and in the backroads mapbooks steady. Just thinking about my upcoming weeklong elk hunt gets the heart pumping! With my little ones born last summer I didn't get out much last fall and I'm just itching this year!! Now to figure out how to keep the wife happy for the next 3 months ??

Business contact of mine in Alberta sent me the info.

The Arizona (not Nevada, sorry) governor's tag was purchased at SCI's convention during their annual auction.
Crazy money is paid for these elite "special" tags

List is done at least 4 times, I don't go anywhere without my diaphragm s and bugle tube around my neck. I have mapped out 12 different ways to go the same route on Google Earth. When I close my eyes all's I see is a still shot of the ridge I'm going to hunt. I text my hunting partner 10x for every 1 text I send my girlfriend. You could say I'm going effin mental. 4 weeks away from trip #1 and I'm not sure if I'll last.
