Hi Fellas.

Wondering where someone can find information for fishing for salmon in the local rivers Chilliwack, Chehalis, Harrison etc.

Looking for when the different species runs enter these rivers .

Also could you use a bait casting reel with rod and different lures to fish from a canoe at some spots along the Harrison river.
Thanks

Fred's Custom Tackle publishes an on line fishing report on their website www.fredscustomtackle.com

Fishing with Rod provides fishing reports as well. Runs and timing vary so prediction is difficult, current information may be more useful.

On the Harrison you will find a number of different types of salmon through the fall, often overlapping. Pinks in odd numbered years in a number of rivers in the lower mainland.

On the Harrison there are numerous places to beach a canoe or boat and fish from the shore. Access is either upriver from Kilby or across the south end of Harrison Lake. Caution is advised in both cases.

Level wind reels eg Ambassador are common in river fisheries.
