What kind of container do you use for spare gas on you Quad? And how much do you pack? I always have a 20Ltr gas can at camp, but was thinking of packing some spare gas on my atv for emergencies. RotopaX makes a good looking gas container , and have good reviews, but,
damn they are pricey. I guess with the lifetime warranty they are worth the price.

A simple Wedco 10 liter works for me. You can get 11+ liters in one if you brim it off and angle it back. Mine gets used more for fire starter than quad use, but either way it is great piece of mind.

A milk crate attached to your quad rack with U-bolts is a great gas caddy. Might not be super pretty, but it's got handy and practical nailed.

I just got back from a long quad ride today. The sportsman 850 made it 170km today on a tank! Mainly forest road with about 25km on low range trails/mud. I carried one of those flat 12l gas cans made for a quad. You strap it to your rack and can still load stuff on top of it. Didn't need it today but it was close. Fuel light was flashing for the last 10km

I've had my rotopax cans for years without issue. They mount tight and are low profile, worth the money imo.

I carry a 15 liter gas can in the dump box on my Polaris Big Boss. It is pretty hard on fuel. The best I've ever got was about 105 kms to a tank and worst was about 50-60 kms when I was breaking in the motor https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13880387_10153639625821790_241950963827721336_n.jp g?oh=3ba2ee9d1ae082a451ba8d9926179930&oe=585A4575
