Hey, just wondering what guys are replacing their hiking boot insoles with?

I am rocking a pair of Lasportivia hiking boots, I have been training lots in these boots and it feels like time for a new pair of insoles. Not that the ones they come with are very high end in the first place.

Throughout my military career I always was sold on the Dr. Scholls memory fit insoles, nothing too fancy, I am not a fan of their insoles with Gel, but they made a lot of old boots feel new again, any suggestions?

Superfeet. I wore them before I got custom orthotics and they're great. Come in different styles.

Wholesale sports. Also, just about any good hiking store will have them...

Superfeet should also be available at stores selling work boots. I've also used them for years in my steel toed boots. They definitely help.

Anyone try the Dr scholls insoles where you have to stand on the machine and it tells you whats wrong and the model number of the insoles you need

Superfeet.

I probably have 10 pairs scattered through all my boots and shoes.

Your feet might take a couple days to adjust, they are much more firm that Dr. Scholls, but you'll be glad you adapted.

I buy most of mine at MEC, but I bet they are available on amazon.ca

Find a Kintec …..they do custom orthotics… BUT also do off the rack ones as well like Superfeet, Sole, Sidas…..

they know their stuff and will fit YOU with the right insole for YOU. …..And back their expertise with a 3 month comfort guarantee.

I went in looking for superfeet…. came out with Sidas (Same price bracket)….It's what worked for me.

Numerous locations through the LM

Don't forget your boots if you go in.

orange superfeet in all my work boots and hunting / hiking boots. Worth the money. I needed the extra cushion under the balls of my feet which the orange gives you.

Experiment, experiment, experiment. Insoles that work for feet A may not work for feet B. Insoles X may work great in boots Y but not in boots Z.
A podiatrist suggested custom orthotics for my plantar fasciitis. Too expensive. For a cheap method he suggested Spenco Polysorb. They were excellent. I think Polysorb is the same as Sorbothane that Uncle Mikes used in recoil pads.
I tried Superfeet. They worked fine in some footwear but not in others.
Sometimes one can find cheap insoles at Sports Junkies on W Broadway in Vancouver.
