I will be in that area in early September. Never fished the area except once out in Nootka Sound for springs. Wondering if coho will be in the river then, or can they be fished out in Moutcha Bay area? Also if anybody knows how the trout fishing is in Muchalat Lake? Thanks

Depending upon how much, if any, rain falls in September, there will definitely be some coho in the Conuma by then. Certainly by late September when there will be a lot of coho. Also, the river will be full of spring salmon throughout the month, along with the occasional sea-run cuttie. Trout fishing in Muchalat Lake can be very good at that time of year. Try fishing where either the Muchalat River or the Oktwanch River flows in, and you should have some good success. In addition, there should still be a LOT of fish hanging around Moutcha waiting to get into the river to spawn. Good luck at it.
