Do you have a useful thread or two from HBC? This one is one of my faves. I find myself going back to this thread over the years.

It outlines BC wildlife management units onto google earth. Thanks to CAC for putting it up.

^ I just tried those links but wouldn't work for me. (the first one worked though)

That's a great idea, but I can't seem to get it to work for me.

Lion hunting thread was epic. As was the walking slaughter house. But I like where you're going with this. Tag slinky pickle for all of his basically.

yappy yodel dog.... and TWSH ,,,, those were freaking funny.. I have always wondered who these guys were.. they had to be second personalities....

as for one thread to be useful.... I cant peg one... I have found all kinds of info here over the years..... it is easier to put a finger on the funny threads.....

I like Bartels threads about the best hunting guns and calibers for BC. Voted on by us members. Those were good reads.

Likely the most "useful" for me have been ProGuide's Blacktail Threads.
Was in the learning curve already and getting there when he started doing that, but I will freely admit they stepped it up a notch or 3 for me.

Cheers,

Many of Jelvis's are right on the mark. Where is he anyway, I can't find him in our town?

To me, as a pretty seasoned hunter, Proguide's Blacktail thread was absolutely world class.
He is so obsessive and driven for that species.

Laughed getting texts from him in the morning at 3 to 4 am as he was heading out.
He was so jack'd to b after his Blacktail "targets"

I know many "killers" that have quietly gone about putting some incredible animals on the ground.
They prefer their anonymity for the most part

Proguide shared his expertise.
Helps the average hunter get to the next level.....an elite level of understanding.
He did this on a species that is very difficult to figure out.

Agreed.
He has thousands of field hours in pursuit of that species......and god damn quality hrs.
He, (as stated by brian) "condensed" a massive amount of knowledge and shared
I am sure there r many coastal hunters that r far more dialed thanks to him.

The hrs r easily justified if ur doing what u love.
And I simply love what I do

Hopefully others will find better success in the field from this, and, other threads

Can't discuss legendary threads without at least giving PGKris and his "Fields of Hybrids" an honorable mention.

Not any particular thread, but the "Gun talk, Reloading and Wildcats" forum has been a treasure trove of great information over the years. Tod "Quick Load" Bartel running numbers is pretty handy too. Haha.

I got hooked on "Snow Snake" hunt'in after reading about them on here! Didn't believe it until I pretty much followed everyone's very helpful tips to a tee on the thread! I'm having a few problems this winter cuz of my screwed up back, makes it real hard to crawl into them snow drifts with noth'in by a shovel and a rifle. Oldest Grand Son got a snow snake 2 weeks ago, was dang near 3 and a half feet long and weighted in at just over 14 pounds! Dam near a record up here! So Ya, snow snake hunt'in threads are my favorites by far!

Many of Big Boar's threads were invaluable, I think moreso because he started as a rookie and did a great job storytelling as he learned and gained experience.

Still sad to realize he's gone.

I would have to agree Al, BigBores stories were captivating to say the least, and he accomplished more in a few short years than most could in a lifetime.
