I went and checked my trail camera for the first time in about a month. About 3000 photos were taken …..all but 4 were of bull elk and mule deer bucks……..a lot of the bull elk have messed up antler growth…..genetics?……not sure ….anyways enjoy photos….will put up more when I get the chance

One of the bulls is like a Unicorn…..

Yeah, no kidding, the guy in second pic is obviously staring directly into the camera. How high off the ground is it mounted?

The elk is actually bedded down in front of the camera. It is approximately 3 feet off of the ground.

Yes I had a ton of them……I only kept this one….it was the best one……I will update with more the next time I check the camera…..enjoy...

I am in the East Kootenays…..Cranbrook.
Most of my pictures from this camera are of this bachelor group of Elk. As far as I can tell there are about 5 of them in the group. Three of the five have messed up antler growth. The craziest is the Unicorn pictured above. There is another Unicorn but the opposite antler this time and the third one just has a tine bent and growing down instead of up. My camera is still there and I will check it when I get the chance and update with more photos.

That one bull elk has a deformed skull on his left side would like to see the whole antlers from this bull..
