Not sure about the G42NG, but I just picked up a Sealthcam PX18 and the instruction manual specifies the following for 32GB cards:

5 second video - 16384
10 second video - 8192
15 second video - 4960
30 second video - 2720

If the camera uses similar video compression to the PX18, those are your numbers. If you have a manual for it, check the manual as it might say

i have one but have yet to use video as i find this cam is very hard on batteries. from what i have read on other sites video mode uses more data than other cams.

Thanks for that info Caddis, the cams are in the mail so I'll check the manual when they arrive. I don't recall my bushnell cam manual having a table like that, but its nice the Stealth Cam does - just trying to decide on 16 vs 32 card, but based on that info the 16 should be fine.

Thats what I read online too... about video being a memory pig in these cams. Didn't know they suck batteries hard too. I guess I'll find out soon.

use lithiums. regular alkalines will go fast. lithiums might go the season
