I see quite a few low budget tree stands on eBay these days, like this one, the "Venom Xtreme Series Climber Tree Stand".

It's $74 plus $32 shipping to the border. With today's exchange that works out pretty cheap in Canadian bucks.

Just wondering if anybody has experience with this. It's fairly heavy but looks comfy with not a lot of joints to squeak. Any opinions?

If at all possible - check out the web for the product before you buy. May save a lot of regrets and hassles later.

With possibly your life quite litterly hanging in the balance, I would do a major review before I bought any tree stand off Ebay. Go to some big american hunting sites and ask the same question. One of the best is
www.archerytalk.com (http://www.archerytalk.com)

I have bought to mega bucks tree stands from Cabelas and they are both great stands for a great deal.

Just remember, you get what you pay for!!!!

Good advice. I too have looked at cheap ones for spots I would rather not tote a climber in. They are ok for short hunts (3 hours) but any longer is very uncomfortable. I use a Summit Razor X5 and am qute happy with it.
