These are jumping carp in the Illinois River. They were imported by fish farmers in the deep south of the USA 30 years ago and later escaped during a flood. They are very invasive and will flop from one waterway to another. I'm not sure how long they can last out of water, but it is a considerable time. They get to 60 lbs. and a 46 lb. female will carry in excess of 2 million eggs.

I saw this vid somewhere else. Apparently the sound of the boat in the water makes them go nuts. Looks like a heckova good time was had by all.
