The historic Graveyard cabin with its sod roof still stands today

A few notes in this photo , ladder was to take off and on can over stove pipe , made broom /mop was for the dirt floor , Tie rails , saddle stands , large saw on side of cabin and of course the sod roof .
Thanks to those who contributed to this post .
PS: On one of my stays there a plane dropped a note of a new born son to the cowboy in residence . I gave the cowboy father a gift of a "hunting knife " for his new son .
Cheers

Last time I was there I was sitting on the shitter and a grizzly chased a moose right past the cabin. The horses got a bit worked up and the paperwork was tad quicker than I would have preferred... I spent every summer of my school years up in that country on horseback. Miss it big time.

Graveyard. Going there by bike in 20 days. Best scouting trip of the year.

I used to punch cows back there, nothing like freezing in a line shack, topping off a cold-backed shitter, and moving cows all day. id still be there if i hadn't got married up.

Brings back the memories...we put in for the LEH every nov as the odds were good and usually had great success. Last trip in there all we saw was wolf sign, not a single moose. Snowed in and it took 36 of white knuckle driving to get out to the main road. Almost lost the horse trailer on the single track road but thankfully it bounced off a tree. I was all for calling for a skidder to come in and plow / tow us out but was veto'd but in retrospect think it may have been the better option lol.
