I got a picture sent to me on face book of a 1600 lb grizz supposedly taken around burns lake. Any truth to this? In the picture the bear looks like a brute.

Its a big Bear for sure. Id say close to 1000lbs. My bet is at least 900. Wouldnt want to meet him out in the bush while bow hunting Ill tell you that for free!

Same bear that Blackwell took last season across ootsa, big bear, according to him, there was a bigger bear he was after.

It was a massive bear. Not 1600 lbs by any means :) but went close to 9 ft and very heavy. Hunted with hounds and got him fairly quick on the first day of the hunt if I remember.

It's probably a pretty nice bear, but there are deceptions to make it look a lot bigger than it is. The dogs were photoshopped out and those guys are sitting a few feet back. Pretty easy to make a 12 inch trout look bigger than a human (or boat) that way. I recall a funny bear one with a bear in a little trailer attached to a mini truck. That one was epic!!! :)

Thanks coach. The copy and paste is where the problems occur.
