Hi guys heading up kechika for elk early September, not looking for anyone's honey hole. Just looking for advice on how far we need to ravel and has anyone hunted elk up there. I have heard that the turnigan is also good.
any advice would be apreciated

Looks like a tight lipped affair.
If you have a smaller jet craft you can take with you get up to the headwaters. Their in there

Lots of guys there for the 10 ft hunt, my buddy has hunted it for years and uses a 24ft jet, but he has not gone there the last 4 years as too many people he said, but he did always camp on the turnigan

We're heading up there in Sept for elk too. 3 of us on a grand adventure. I've been waiting to do this hunt for years. See you up there!

It's a shame the season is so short..with such hard access it doesn't make any sense to me..awesome country up there..you don't have to be 100 km up above the treeline or in the sandy bluffs to get into elk..the thick spruce will echo with bugles..
