...and no 6cm square chuck of hide.
we always did that anyway cuz it was easier to keep hair out...always skin the tail down about an inch and then put a bag around the tail and zap strap or tie it tight....when ready to butcher all it takes is one quick cut to get rid of it bag and all

Hunt Buddy still has the '14-'16 regs on their app. Say they're going to have the new ones up ASAP. Unless you're supposed to download/update it...

I'd be leery of keeping only the antlers, I think the intent is more than just the cut out antlers as it is to identify species as well as sex. At least that is the way I read it. It would be pretty tough, if not impossible, to distinguish between muley and whitetail with spike or 2-point or even 3-point can be difficult, larger antlers don't always follow the "rules" either. I would think at least the ears, if not the whole head, would be best.

what would you do if you got a doe with antlers?
https://www.jstor.org/stable/3798545?seq=1#page_scan_tab_contents
The antlers of the mature male white-tail consist of a forward curving main beam from which single points project upward and often slightly inward. Perhaps one of every 1 000 females also bears small, simple antlers.

I see listed as changes for reg 8 are '..additional Spring hunting opportuntiy's in select Okanagan Region Provincial parks...' I guess these will be listed in the LEH?

nothing to do with leh , just some offerings in parks that weren't listed before.
Info on hunting in parks isn't in the regs anymore, have to go to the Parks website and look up the park in question, works if they update the info in a reasonable time.
