[Sorry I first put this in the buy and sell forum]

I am looking for a recommendation finding a bag that I can use to haul meat out. I was using my old external frame with the pack removed but busted it training with some weight on it a couple of weeks ago. (It was was really sized for me 25 years ago when I was in boy scouts).

Anyways I don't like the idea of stuffing quarters into my internal frame.

Really was hoping for the outdoorsman optic hunter but it is $400 $/US and would be pushing $600 $/CND once shipped, which I can not justify to myself. ---- (https://outdoorsmans.com/collections...er-pack-system (https://outdoorsmans.com/collections/outdoorsmans-pack-system/products/coyote-brown-outdoorsmans-optics-hunter-pack-system))

Thinking about the Cabela's Alaskan I Pack and Frame which is $200 $/CDN and has good reviews. ----(http://www.cabelas.ca/product/60834/...pack-and-frame (http://www.cabelas.ca/product/60834/cabelas-alaskan-i-pack-and-frame))

Does someone have a recommendation on a good external frame pack? -- looking for something that is around 4,000 cu. inches or larger.

I am not a gear guy, those extras that run up the price don't really do much for me, but saying that I would like a quiet hunting bag, not one that has rings or such - $400 to $450.

Thanks in advance

tatonka if you want simple, very durable and not too pricey. Not especially "quiet".

Wait for a mystery ranch to come up on the gear board here. One of the best packs available.

Look at the llbean hunter carry-all. I've use it to pack out many elk quarters. Internal framed pack board with a detachable load sling. It's affordable and llbean doesn't charge duty and is easy for returns if you don't think it will work for you.

I just bought this one from Amazon on a recommendation from my buddy. haven't used it yet but so far I think it's very nice and solid for the price actually lighter than I thought it would be. But overall it seems very well made I'm very happy with the purchase so far

The upgraded model is 10000 times better, an amazing pack. Zero complaints about it.

Only downfall with tatonkas frame, it becomes weak after a few impacts slipping on your ass coming downhill loaded. Been through 2 frames. But still affordable.

Check out the Gritty Bowman podcast episodes 13,14 and 136 with Aron Snyder of Kifaru international. Lots of great info on there.
