Depends on Model and condition.
Try gunvalues.com or just google looking for ads.
Good luck, that is a fine firearm.

Pre 64? In mint shape I'd bet $1400+ would be a starting point?!

I know quite a lot about these rifles and can offer advice IF I can see complete, accurate photos.

Don't worry, I have a dozen of mine left and am currently getting most of my rifles ready for a sale deal as I am getting on and will never use them now. So, I am not going to try to buy something out from under someone, would not anyway and will give solid advice.

IF, you are looking for a P-64-Fwt.-30-06, I have a superb example, in a custom synthetic stock and in mint shape and want to sell it as well as several others. If not, send or post pix and I will help.

That is NOT a "Pre-64" Mod. 70, it appears to be a "Classic Featherweight" with Weaver top mounts and the scope you mentioned.

Value? Not as much as an original "Pre-64" in that condition, but, a decent rifle and should be an ideal beginner's piece IF you get instruction on shooting it correctly.

I have a pre 64 model 70, which someone cut the end of the barrel to shorten, and opened up the bolt face for a conversion to a 300 win mag! BBD, is there still any worth to this Pre 64? Moosin

Yes, depending on original condition of parts, if you know the right people, you can sell this as a "parts gun" or part it out and sell them yourself.

The action is worth a fair amount, I am not into it anymore, but, can help you if you wish and know an honest guy who will probably buy it for parts.

Send me good pix and I can tell you about what you can expect to get here in Canada, it is a major PITA to ship these to the USA and so the higher prices there are often not worth the trouble/cost.

I could not tell from the photos posted, but, that is NOT a "Classic", but a "pushfeed" Post-64 Mod. 70......value.....about $700 all in as the Weaver scope and mounts have very little value.

I would try to find a nice genuine P-64, even a Classic, but, they are more $$$$$. HTH.

Any pre 64 action only I believe is worth 500 bucks..wish they would have made them in left hand..I have a reintroduced .... In lefthand ... 7 mm rem mag... In the 90s with the claw extractor .. Nib from Kamloops powder keg... Nice unit ... But not as nice as a pre 64. : )

A Model 70 just feels right .....

I have shouldered lots of different rifles but my m70 just seems to want to point straight to the target and hold steady on it for me. especially noticeable when taking a standing shot free hand

I would have to agree. The problem is I only have one pre 64 featherweight in 30-06, so I always shoot the same gun, lol.

mine is the stainless classic (with wood) and also the one I use 99% of the time...last year my hunting partner lost his clip while crossing a river in the dark so I lent him my m70 and used my back-up Rem 783...between the bolt flopping open even with the safety on, trigger being too light and it feeling like aiming a baseball bat, I sure was reminded how nice the m70 is!

I shoot a pre 1964 CRF Model 70 in 30-06. It has served me very well for many years with 0 issues.

My thought would be bring it into a gunsmith to be appraised.

just checked another M70 that I have that was made in 1999. Serial # is G2226xxx, so they obviously just kept going with the numbers

this blurb was on this site...you may be able to figure it out from the notes others have written there

below is another site discussing it

Your M 70 was Manufactured in 1988. Thanks, much appreciated. I knew I was the second owner as I bought it from the original owner, whom was a good friend of mine back on the prairie's. So many questions I wish I would of asked him about the rifle and now I can't.
