I almost stepped on this grouses eggs she took of and played the cripple act was fun to watch her as she faked a broken wing
and was crying that she was hurt I left ASAP after I took a picture........................................... .............The grouse is inside the read circle..

the ole broken wing trick...have seen dozens and dozens of times for killdeer and ducks back home but never seen a grouse do it....here is a utube of how a killdeer goes for the Oscar award for best broken wing act

Always a cool find, I too enjoy the moment quickly take a photo or two if I have a camera and move on. Momma has enough stress without us causing more.
