Globalstar is reliable enough these days as well with their new satellites.

If you go with globalstar, pay by the year, not by the month. That way you get an entire year to use your minutes.

Global Star doesn't suck anymore than Iridium. Both have their "moments". In a perfect system, I prefer GlobalStar as call quality is better. My $0.02.
