Well I finally got a bear its a long story but when i first got into hunting bears my first bear was 6 foot 4 inch and made a few people mad then a week later i taged out on a 7 foot 2 inch bear total monster. since then i shot a few 6 foot area ones and 5 foot 6 inch then i manage to get a sow up north that was in the neighborhood of 6 foot 6 inch well i hunt them for meat don't get me wrong i mount every one if not the hides are donated to out taxidermy.
so i have hunted very hard this year since unemployed trying to tag out before the bank takes there keys back. i am 4 hours into my hunt i decided its a write off not a pile of scat no bears no nothing.
heading over the mountain throw the pass wear i seen scat a week prior nothing at this point i said enough is enough no more wasting gas im heading home about 6.30 now heading home come around the corner 22.5 km up this road boom biggest bear i have seen to date just like that he looks i get out he starts to walk slowing i looking for cubs (worse nightmare shooting a sow with cubs) no cubs boom right throw the lungs he runs up hill into pretty gross bush its 730 i shoot him drive up the 70 yards i hear the bear i know hes down i'm alone i went to cell range had a few buddy help me 8.20 pm now i got back up still had to go in alone but at least help was there if it wasn't dead. looking for blood doesn't look the best trail goes cold went up a bit further all hopes are disparaging little more look boom just like a murder seen in a movie blood well i know myself this bear 100 percent dead i'm looking well ahead is a stump i'm nerves since i had a bear before me i walked right by him before we found him very alive well i slowly go around this holy crap boom bear was dead i'm sure but flinched lol so this bear actually set up a ambush on this trail the way he faced and all. i got my saw cut a path with the help of my dad i got him road side well taxidermist was there we figured 6 foot 6 inch so i was disappointed since i said this was the biggest bear to date but happy i got meat in the freezer next day i go up there to skin it we get the tape on it all he said holy crap i don't believe this snout to tail skinned 7 foot 6 inch then front legs claw to claw 7 foot 6 inch he said its one of the biggest he seen so i'm out another few grand life size mount guess my other 2 is int enough yet.
got 15 roast 10 packs of steaks and two full sides of ribs and 58 lbs ground.
