Was wondering if anybody knows of a small lake with good fishing around castlegar area. I have a truck and camper and would use my zodiak to fish with. I saw cooley lake on the map. Anybody ever fish there? Or have any suggestions. Maybe Little slocan lake?? Thanks for any advice:-P

Not a lot around Castlegar, but Summit and Box lakes near Nakusp can be decent. Camping at both places.

Cooley lake can produce some nice fish...may be some snow issues getting in there as it is higher in elevation. Little Slocan lakes is a beautiful spot, but not the best fishing. The lake does have kokanee though. Further up the Slocan Valley off the Wilson Lake Road (Roseberry) there area few smaller mountain lakes. Good luck.

Wilson Lakes would be my bet. Boundary Lake is a bit away and lots of snow
