Just got back from South Pacific Safaris in NZ with the wife and kids and wow what an amazing place. They run a first class operation and we all were extremely happy with everything.

I got a Red Stag, Chamois and Tahr. My wife got a Red Stag, and Arapawa Ram. Kids each shot a Arapawa Ram, fallow deer and feral goats.

My wifes management Stag. Other antler was deformed. Pretty big for a management stag.

I'll post some others in another post as I noticed we are only allowed to post 5 pics per post.

Beautiful animals and a great place to bring the family!
I hunted with South Pacific Safaris in 2010. Great outfit!
Bagged a red stag, a fallow deer, and a tahr.

My Chamois.

Yes we did some fly fishing and toured up the west coast on the South Island and a bit of the North Island. I tried fly fishing but every time I went out it was super windy and couldn't fish properly. Unreal scenery and people are awesome. Tourists everywhere. 75% of the vehicles on the road on the South Island were tourists.

Ya Vic a remember talking to you about it a year or so ago and decided to book with them. Great people. I had the same guide you had, Hayden. Funny as hell that guy. Strong like bull too.

Nice hunting. They have such a variety there.

This may be a stupid question due to my lack of knowledge on the over seas hunting.
But do you keep the meat? If not where does it go?

The outfitters keeps all of the meat and keeps some but most of it goes to Veterens, needy families and dog food. We ate Fallow, Tahr, and Arapawa ram and the fallow deer is the best deer meat out there by far. They let me shoot a cull fallow spiker for free and gave it to the Vets.

Very nice! There is some controversy as to whether moose exist on the South Island, kind of like their Sasquatch.
